John Stainer Community Primary School

London Borough of Lewisham

A one of a kind environment in London, utilising roof space when the luxury of outdoor areas are sparse.

A unique

learning environment

This school is one of many exemplary projects delivered as part of the London Borough of Lewisham Pupil Places Programme. This contemporary extension and refurbishment of the existing building enabled the school to expand to a two form entry primary school. The project included a 3 storey new classroom block, a hall extension, new kitchen, rooftop teaching deck, biome and a new entrance.

A new nursery building was also provided within the restricted site. The project required a complex phasing strategy, extensive enabling works- including temporary decant facilities- and meticulous communication with the stakeholders, ensuring they were fully aware of the complexities of the project and its delivery.
