Building Awards Success
Monday 26th April 2010

Bailey Partnership is delighted to announce that at last weeks 2010 Building Awards, the practice won the award for Construction Consultant of the Year in the fewer than 100 staff category.

Building Magazine decided to offer this new award because “it really, really liked the work of some small firms and felt it should be recognised”.

In addition to a written submission to accompany our original entry, following shortlisting to the final six firms, twenty of our clients were asked by Building to provide a satisfaction/performance assessment.  Without doubt their strongly positive responses contributed to our success.

Building’s comments included:-

“… when conditions are this hostile, good companies find they have resources to draw on that others don’t.  For Bailey that mean the loyalty of staff: it has appeared near the top of Building Good Employer Guide for the past two years, where its staff have given it high marks for internal democracy, smart working and corporate social responsibility.  Another hidden strength is the loyalty of clients.  It has consistently been ranked first of 10 suppliers on the Ministry of Justice’s framework …”

“And here are some more clues to its success.  One is the versatility of its offering – despite its size, the firm is practically a multi-disciplinary one-stop shop.  Then there’s the quality of the work it does within its many skills areas.”

“And it was all these things together that persuaded the judges that this “good, consistent all round practice” with its “good range of services and clients” deserved to be the first winner of this category”.
