Our multi-disciplinary professional team has created a newly-built two storey modern restaurant/bar on the tranquil water’s edge overlooking the Marina at Mount Batten, Plymouth for Yacht Haven.
Finished to an extremely high standard the complex (adjacent to the existing Yacht Haven Marina offices) was constructed using a steel frame and is located on the edge of Plymouth Sound and at the mouth of the River Plym.
The facility provides a function suite/meeting room on the upper floor, affording superb views out over the marina basin together with a bar, restaurant and kitchen on the ground floor with a feature stair case leading to the first floor. The large decked areas and generous balcony also provide plenty of space for alfresco dining. The restaurant caters for up to 150 covers.
The interior design concept uses natural materials and slowly sweeping curves. The materials and products used on the floor, the bar and bar area and in the feature light fittings (Tom Dixon mirror ball lights) inspire the qualities of the sea and reflect into the feel and atmosphere of the bar.
Using natural materials throughout such as solid oak, granite and limestone, married alongside the stunning curved Corian bar, we have created a luxurious, but simple and comfortable interior scheme.
The project also includes minor alterations to the existing marina facilities building and associated external works.
